The following three videos were filmed on September 12th, 2009. A 360-degree camera was lowered from a helicopter as the pilot
flew along the proposed runways and roads being evaluated as part of the EIS. The videos shown below were recorded from a computer
running the proprietary software that allows the operator to pan and tilt 360 degrees using a mouse. As the software user moves
the mouse around, the perspective of the camera changes. On the right portion of each video window, a map is visible shoing the
flight path, runways and road corridors under consideration, and a topographic map.
The resolution is diminished for Web reproduction (bandwidth) purposes. In this demo, the Web viewer does not control the software.
The helicopter is moving at a forward speed of 35 to 40 knots and the flight elevation is about 500-600 feet above sea level. Since
the trees are approximately 100 feet tall, the flight elevation is about 400-500 feet above treetop level. Each video is approximately
2 minutes long.
